Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!

For those of you who have been following the story of Daniel and Ebony and who contributed to the efforts to help them save their home, we would like to offer you this update, via CNN. 

We are so happy that this family was able to reach their goal and have their Christmas wishes granted. It brings us hope during this difficult times and great pride to know that we indeed can make a difference.

This experience truly epitomizes what Lucy Magazine is all about: regular people who have come together to produce a publication that regular people can relate to. We hope to motivate, inspire, and educate,  while also showing the difference that we can make. We don’t have to be Hollywood beautiful, size 0, filthy rich, or painfully mainstreamed to make a difference. 

The selflessness that our blogger, Jaki, has shown exemplifies this and I know that Kate, Lindsay, AJ, myself, and the rest of the staff have been so happy to be a part of this, even if it just meant that the blog was linked through our site. We know these are difficult times for everyone, but  hopefully this will help us all see that we are able to get through them. I hope this has restored the Holiday spirit in those who might be struggling to find it this year. May we all enjoy 2009 together.
