Alohomora, Beedle!
Posted by Krystal in Book Blog Entertainment and Pop Culture.
Normally coming home from school is oh-so-sweet, but today I actually had something extra
spectacular waiting for me: The Tales of Beedle the Bard . That’s right people, Christmas has come a little early for yours truly (courtesy of J.K. Rowling and Amazon Prime) and I am overflowing with joy.
For those of you who do not know, The Tales of Beedle The Bard is a collection of fairy tales for witches and wizards. It is the equivalent to our Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood. In the final installment of Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Hermione reads the book looking for clues on their journey.
I am hoping that this book will be my cure for what I am now calling Potteritis. This spring/summer, my closest friend and I read the entire Harry Potter series and every since I have been surpressing the urge to continue reading the books in an everlasting cycle. Since I have school, a job, and, you know, friends and family who demand my time and do not suffer from Potteritis like I do, I cannot do so. However, the arrival of The Tales of Beedle The Bard on my doorstep today brought sweet relief to my aching soul!
Stay tuned for I will definitely post a review and my thoughts soon. Until then, please get your copy of The Tales of Beedle The Bard, curl up with Crookshanks and pretend you are Hermione. Or you can be like me, and pretend you are her anyway
