Surfer, Dude- Matthew McConaughey is a surfer looking for a big wave, Woody Harrelson is his manager and Willie Nelson his guardian angel. Well, the director S.R. Bindler did direct Hands on a Hardbody and no that is not an early 80’s sex romp. This is destined to be on my next bad movie night.
Towelhead- Alan Ball’s (writer of American Beauty and True Blood) directorial debutabout a young Middle Eastern girl sent to live with her strict father in Houston during the first Gulf War. Aaron Eckhart plays the bigoted Army reservist neighbor. Racism and sexually awakening are on the menu in this wacky screwball comedy.
Nip/Tuck: Season Five Part One- The good doctors move from Miami to Los Angeles and get jobs as medical consultants on a night-time soap opera. 14 episodes are included in this box set and the remaining eight episodes of season five will air in early January ‘09 with another separate box set release for those episodes. More bang for your buck? No, not really
The Secret Life of An American Teenager: Season One- Freshman Amy Juergens discovers she’s pregnant after losing her virginity at band camp (wow) and struggles to navigate through her first year of high school. This ABC Family series also stars Molly Ringwald as Amy’s mom!!!!!
