I Wanna Rock ‘N Roll All Night

Last night, I officially became a spontaneous shopper. I drove to the store and bought Guitar Hero: World Tour. If being frivolous with your money and buying expensive items without a care in the world is wrong, well, then I don’t want to be right.

I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning Sunday rocking out with my fiance and our friends Kelly and Elyse. It was weird because as the night progressed, the more and more we got into the game. We started taking the gigs seriously and were trying to earn a lot of money. We were critiquing each other and found our niches in the band. Man, if only I was this enthusiastic about other parts of my life (work, cleaning the house, bathing myself, etc.) The game has been on my brain all day at work. I kept thinking about going home and playing the drums and furthering my career.  It is all Nick and I talk about to each other now. We even came up with an Guitar Hero: World Tour engagement party. It’s only been two days people!

I originally wanted Rock Band 2 because I peeked at the song list on Wikipedia and I saw more songs that I would enjoy pretending being Robin Finck to. But, I bought Guitar Hero: World Tour oppose to buying Rock Band 2 because I already own Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and the guitars/games are compatible. However, I did further investigations into instrument compatibility and it turns out majority of the instruments for both games are compatible to each other. Oh well. I guess I just will have to go out and buy Rock Band and Rock Band 2 on my next impulse buy. I have to go and pretend I am Pat Benetar now….
