Empire State Building, anyone…?

After stopping at my building’s convenience store to pick up a Snapple, I was amused by the latest fact I’ve learned from the cap: on Valentine’s Day, there is no charge to get married in the Empire State Building’s Chapel.

I thought this was interesting, for a number of reasons:
1) I never knew people got married at the Empire State building.
2) I had no idea it had a chapel.

So I decided to go online and research this…

From what I found, this is actually the ONLY day that they allow weddings, so if you’re now intrigued by this potential venue, you better start calling them, stat!

I also found out about a contest taking place, where couples can submit info about themselves, pictures, and reasons why they want to get married atop this world-famous building. The Empire State Building and Condé Nast will select 14 couples to help in planning their special day.
