it’s better to igive than receive.

Although I’ve been shelling out a whole hell of a lot of money on some pretty insane stuff (see: “But It’s Just a Box That Holds Cards”), I’ve found a site that makes me feel OK about the $$ I’m spending: www.igive.com
www.igive.com is a great site that is connected with all kinds of businesses who allow a percentage of your purchase to go to the charity of your choice. They have a HUGE list of options to select from and if you’re involved in a non-profit, you can register with them to receive donations. The rabbit rescue I work with, For Bunny Sake (www.petfinder.com/shelters/NJ375.html), is registered on this site, so while I’ve been making hotel reservations through Orbitz, buying wedding shoes on shoebuy.com, and taking care of a whole heap of other random wedding purchases I’ve had to make, I’ve been helping save bunnies in the process! Even better is you can have your guests sign up to use the site (it’s all free!) and they too can contribute towards your favorite cause.
Every time you make a purchase through the site, you receive updates about how much money your charity has raised. It may suck to have to dish out lots of cash for things like guest books, card holders, and fancy shoes you may never wear again, but the thought of helping someone (or somebunny!) in need definitely makes me view my bank account summary with a little more ease.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up!!! And if you don’t have a cause that you’re completely passionate about, look up For Bunny Sake in Maple Shade, New Jersey!! ![]()
