’til death do us…plan?

Here we are, nearly one month away from W-day. It’s been a long, winding road, but we’re almost there, with most of our sanity in tact.

D and I got engaged last summer, shortly before my birthday. We knew that we wanted to get married in the fall, and were fine with a longer engagement. In fact, a little over a year felt like the perfect amount of time to plan, prepare, and anticipate the day. I’m completely impressed/amazed at the people who are able to pull together really amazing weddings in just a few short months, but we didn’t want that kind of pressure (i.e., me freaking out because there doesn’t feel like there’s enough time).

I made it my personal goal to have everything done by the end of August, so that way September wouldn’t be a horrendous stressful rush. Of course, every time I think about how quickly the wedding is coming up, my stomach flips a couple times…

For the most part, though, planning has gone well, and in this blog, I hope, along with my fellow writers, to give some tips, links, and helpful tidbits to make your wedding go as smoothly as possible. Stay tuned for various updates from different brides who are in different stages of their wedding planning.
