A Long Day
Posted by Keanan in US Election 2008.
Hart’s Location, New Hampshire: Obama takes 17 votes, McCain 10, Ron Paul 2. There was 100% voter turnout.
Dixville Notch, New Hampshire: Obama wins 15, McCain takes 6. This is the first time a Democrat has won the town since 1968.
Polls are just opening, but results are already coming.
If Barrack Obama hangs on to all states he’s obtained so far, including Virginia, it’s over. The 44th president of the United States is decided. McCain must turn at least three states from blue to red.
BBC news has Obama leading 53% to 40% (gallop), starting to drastically separate back in September (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/629/629/7360265.stm).
Yesterdays crazy traveling for both parties has hopefully helped each in their goals - Obama to the presidency, and McCain visiting people and ending up back in his home state to try and make the residents like him again.
Pennsylvania is where we should keep our eyes. Obama is currently leading by eight points, with a margin of error close to four. Should points shift around, it could be close.
It’ll definitely be a long day. It’ll definitely be a long night. Let’s hope that everyone votes, so that come tomorrow we won’t have to argue once again.
